Pastor Kurt and his wife Nellene have been blessed with four beautiful children.  One of the things he loves the most about the ministry is helping people from various needs and backgrounds find their purpose and passion in Jesus.  He enjoys an active lifestyle including: trail running, hiking, camping, weights, guitar, and riding his Goldwing motorcycle.  He and his wife are both K-State Wildcats. For Pastor Kurt, the process of making coffee is an act of worship.  He is a passionate preacher gifted with the ability of making difficult theological concepts easy to understand.  You will often hear him quote Psalm 118:24, “This is the day that the Lord has made, I will…?  Rejoice and be glad in it!”  His favorite saying, “I’m so full of God’s love it’s running around inside of me like a squirrel!”   He also “thinks” he is very funny.  Yes, he wrote this bio.

Hospitality and Spiritual Formation Minister– Constance  graduated from Manhattan Christian College in ’02, and married an amazing man, Will Black. We have four adorable children. I enjoy movies, sports, laughter, and the great outdoors. I grew up in Haysville and have been blessed to work with the church here since ’06. I look forward to seeing God move in and through the next generations. My favorite things about ministry are connecting and empowering young people through Jesus Christ.

Youth Minister - Anna is a 2026 graduate of Ozark Christian College. Some of the things she enjoys are books, crochet, dogs, and camping. She grew up in Sacramento, California, where she grew up dancing, singing, and acting at her local youth theatres. She has a passion for youth and loves the ways she gets to see God move in their lives. She looks forward to getting to know Haysville and the amazing students here at HCC.

Children’s Ministry Coordinator - Shelly is married to her amazing husband, Tony and blessed with 2 adult daughters, a son-in-law and 3 wonderful grandchildren. She enjoys reading, movies, dogs, watching sports and the outdoors. She loves children and seeing how God works in their lives.
